If anyone has actually heard a Louis XV Special (and not a recording) I would love to know what they sounded like, and whether the sound is any better than say a style 26 Special which comes in at a mere $59,000!
ha ha, what a grotesque looking harp! I have indeed had a pluck of one at the World Harp Congress in Prague or Dublin - Dublin I think it was, in 2005. It is extremely heavy and sonuds pretty much the same as any other harp! An aquired taste for a loaded pocket, I'd say!
